Change of Thrones: MotorLand Highlights

The Pirelli Aragón Round saw WorldSBK back on European soil for another showdown

MotorLand Aragón staged the first win for the Ducati 1199 Panigale R in 2015, as Chaz Davies took another win at the circuit in the old Kingdom of Aragón, denying Jonathan Rea the chance of doing the double. The differences between Buriram and MotorLand seemed to suit the duo of Ducati and Davies, and there were high hopes for the Italian marque once again as WorldSBK set off back to Europe for the first Round on the continent in 2016.

Honda also looked to get on the podium once again after seeing a 75% success rate before MotorLand, and Yamaha were on the hunt for more progress with the brand new YZF R1 on their return to WorldSBK.

In WorldSSP, Randy Krummenacher came into Round 3 with his Championship lead from reigning Champion and teammate Sofuoglu still very much intact and looking to try and keep his advantage, and MV Agusta’s Cluzel arrived in Aragón off the back of an impressive victory in Thailand.

STK1000 saw lights out for the first time in Spain, and the WIL Sport European Junior Cup also got on track for their first race of the season.

So who came out on top? Relive all the best bits from the incredible third Round here!
